GROUP SPANISH CLASSES JANUARY 2010

4. One session per week. Classes last an hour, and hour and a half, or two hours.

Beginner

Beginner +

You can enroll in this level if you know el pretérito: "anoche hablé con mi amigo Juan"

Upper Beginner

You can enroll in this level if you are able to use el pretérito properly in relation to el imperfecto: "cuando llegué a Barcelona, hacía calor"

Intermediate

You can enroll in this level if you are able to use el pretérito perfecto: "¿has estado alguna vez en Oaxaca?". Also, you know el condicional: "le prometí a mi maestro que haría la tarea".

Intermediate +

You can enroll in this level if you are able to use el presente de subjuntivo: "quiero que mis hijos hablen español".

Upper Intermediate

You can enroll in this level if you are able to use el imperfecto de subjuntivo: "le pedí a Marta que viniera a DC"; and know las oraciones condicionales: "si hubiera tenido vacaciones, habría ido a Mexico".

Advanced

You can enroll in this level if you are fluent enough to have an "almost" regular conversation. You still make a lot of mistakes. We will review grammar and uses of all verb tenses, read articles, learn new vocabulary and idioms, etc.

Advanced +

You can enroll in this level if you are fluent enough to have a regular conversation. You only make a few mistakes. We will review grammar and uses of all verb tenses, read articles, learn new vocabulary and idioms, etc.
