General Spanish

The General Spanish course can be adapted to the different needs of American companies and organizations to help their staff develop specific Spanish language skills to better communicate with clients and employees.

Business Spanish

Spanish is an important language of business, both abroad in countries where Spanish is spoken and here in the United States where American companies need to work with international and local Spanish-speaking clients.

Our Business Spanish course is designed to prepare the student with the language skills necessary to speak, understand and interact with Spanish-speaking business clients in everyday business situations.

In this course, general Spanish is taught with an emphasis on accuracy (grammar, vocabulary-building) and fluency. However, activities and materials center on real-world business situations. Students practice Spanish in business roles (negotiations, interviews, telephone conversations, etc.) and memo-writing.

Conversational Spanish

These courses are for intermediate to advanced students. Rather than follow a grammatical syllabus, classes revolve around speaking activities. These include discussions about current issues, presentations, role-play practice, etc. For those who have previously studied Spanish grammar, this type of class offers an opportunity to practice in a student-centered environment.

In addition to classes, Spanish Tutor DC tutors will help arrange extracurricular opportunities to enable the student to practice Spanish through homework, cultural events and practice partners.
